A LITTLE MORE KNOW-HOW.

Choosing a TikTok and Instagram Reels scheduler for your actual workflow

By Aaron Colbry, founder of SocialRoster · Updated

Check current platform support, accepted media, batch workflow and pricing before choosing a scheduler. SocialRoster supports video workflows; TikTok is Coming soon.

Current product: YouTube-only. New plans support 2 or 6 YouTube channels at $19.99 or $29.99 per month. Older provider and pricing references below are retained for legacy customers, not new connection offers. Existing subscriptions and scheduled posts are preserved. Current plans and fair use.

EVERY LITTLE DETAIL COUNTS.

TikTok status: Coming soon. TikTok scheduling and publishing are coming soon. Your existing posts, drafts and connection are kept. The TikTok guidance in this guide is general preparation advice, not an available SocialRoster publishing flow. For YouTube, check account permissions and publishing status before scheduling.

If you need to schedule TikTok posts today, SocialRoster is not a current choice for that requirement. TikTok connecting, scheduling and publishing are Coming soon. For finished videos destined for Instagram, YouTube and Facebook, evaluate the available connections and batch workflow against your own files before choosing a plan.

Published by SocialRoster. This is a product-fit checklist, not an independent ranking or a claim that SocialRoster is the best tool. SocialRoster capability statements were checked against its current implementation on October 21, 2026. No competitor speed, reliability or reach advantage was measured.

Start with the destinations and formats you need now

  • List required destinations separately from channels you might add later. An unavailable must-have destination rules out a tool for that job today.
  • Separate finished video files from static images, image carousels, links and text-only posts. A tool supporting one format does not necessarily support the others.
  • Check your account eligibility and the exact connected handle before preparing a full week. A platform logo alone does not prove that your account can publish.
  • Write down any requirements for analytics, approvals, shared editing or client access; do not infer them from the presence of a calendar.

What you can evaluate in SocialRoster

The current browser Content Library imports MP4, MOV, M4V and WebM videos and holds up to 50 videos total, including files already imported. It does not import static images or assemble image carousels. Prepare captions, select available destinations, choose individual times or batch intervals, and review the calendar before committing to a queue.

Available destinations are Instagram, YouTube and Facebook, subject to connected-account permissions, live integrations and provider limits. TikTok remains Coming soon. Existing TikTok records do not make it an available publishing destination.

Imported media and local drafts start in the browser; local-only files do not automatically sync across devices. Scheduling can upload video and details to the publishing backend. Keep source files elsewhere and read the storage explanation before treating the workspace as a backup.

Run a five-video workflow check

  1. Select five representative finished clips, including one needing different captions or times for two destinations.
  2. Confirm all required destinations and formats are currently supported before starting a trial.
  3. Import the clips, prepare captions and select accounts. Check that the library and upload constraints fit your files.
  4. Preview the planned times in your timezone, check existing posts for conflicts, and approve only the intended queue.
  5. Verify returned statuses and the first destination result. A saved schedule is not proof of successful publishing. Keep one publishing owner per post so the evaluation does not create duplicates.

Compare the work and the price, not a generic best badge

Social Scheduler costs $19.99 per month for up to 200 scheduled posts per billing month. Unlimited costs $39.99 per month with no SocialRoster monthly scheduling cap; provider and API limits still apply. The 3-day trial requires a card and the selected plan charges automatically afterward unless canceled before the trial ends.

For any alternative, including Buffer or Later, check its own current documentation for your required channels, media formats, import method and billing units. This guide does not assume their current features or recommend a winner without those checks. The related SocialRoster vs Buffer guide provides a separately dated, source-linked comparison of the bulk-import workflow.

When to keep another workflow

  • You require TikTok publishing now. SocialRoster’s TikTok feature is not yet available.
  • Your batch consists of static images, carousels or link posts rather than the supported video files.
  • A required shared-review, reporting or other workflow has not been verified in SocialRoster.
  • A native platform scheduler already covers your needs and the five-video check reveals no useful benefit from switching.

Choose a tool only when the currently available workflow matches the job. Do not migrate a working queue solely because a page says best, and do not schedule the same post in two systems during an evaluation.

Questions

Is SocialRoster a TikTok scheduler I can use today?
No. TikTok connecting, scheduling and publishing in SocialRoster are Coming soon. It is not a current choice if TikTok publishing is required today.
Can I use SocialRoster for static Instagram posts or carousels?
The current Content Library imports videos, not static images or image carousels. Use a tool that explicitly supports those formats.
Should I switch from Buffer or Later?
Only after checking current requirements and trying the actual workflow with representative clips. This guide does not establish that SocialRoster is better than either product.
Can I use two schedulers together?
You can plan separate workflows, but give each post and destination one publishing owner. Do not queue the same post in both tools.
