A LITTLE MORE KNOW-HOW.
SocialRoster YouTube scheduling FAQ
Answers about YouTube channel plans, the card-required trial, AI-assistant compatibility, local storage, bulk scheduling and publishing safeguards.

SocialRoster helps you organize finished videos, prepare captions and schedule posts across your YouTube channels from one calendar. New plans and connections are YouTube-only; existing legacy connections and scheduled posts are preserved. Successful publishing depends on the connected account, its permissions, the selected content and the network’s current requirements. Start by checking the account you intend to use, then test a small batch before filling a week.
Does SocialRoster work with ChatGPT, Claude, Grok and Muse?
SocialRoster accepts finished-content handoffs from AI workflows; direct assistant control requires compatible, authorized MCP access.
Yes as part of a finished-content workflow: bring supported exported videos and reviewed copy from your chosen AI tools. Direct assistant control of saved drafts and schedules is separate and requires a compatible remote MCP/OAuth client, a connection and approved permissions. Video generation and third-party AI subscriptions are not included. No universal native integration or partner endorsement is implied.
What does SocialRoster cost on the website?
YouTube Starter costs $19.99 per month for up to two channels, and YouTube Pro costs $29.99 for up to six.
- On the website, YouTube Starter costs $19.99 USD per month for up to 2 connected YouTube channels.
- YouTube Pro costs $29.99 USD per month for up to 6 connected YouTube channels. Both plans have no monthly scheduling-count cap, subject to a 50 GiB scheduled queue safety limit, 1 GiB per file, and YouTube channel and API quotas.
- Eligible new website subscribers receive one 3-day trial per account. Website checkout requires a payment card. The trial begins when checkout is completed, rather than when the account is created.
- When the trial ends, the selected plan is charged automatically and renews monthly until canceled. Cancel through Manage billing before the trial ends to avoid the first charge. Check the final checkout screen for taxes and the applicable charge details.
Check your account’s access status before scheduling. You can read the public guides and review the product before starting a trial. If you subscribed through Google Play, follow the offer and cancellation controls shown there. Unlimited does not increase the local video-library limit or override a platform’s publishing restrictions.
For the channel allowance that fits this workflow, compare SocialRoster pricing for 2 or 6 YouTube channels before starting a trial. The 3-day trial requires a card and renews at your chosen plan’s monthly price unless canceled.
How many videos can I import?
SocialRoster’s browser-local Content Library holds up to 50 videos in total.
The Content Library holds up to 50 videos total in the current browser workspace. This is a library capacity, not an allowance for another 50 videos each time you import. For example, a library containing 38 videos has room for 12 more. Check the number actually imported before scheduling your next batch.
The importer accepts non-empty MP4, MOV, M4V and WebM video files up to the app’s 1 GiB limit, subject to browser support. Importing a file does not guarantee that every destination will accept it. Each publishing route has its own media checks. Keep the original files separately so you can re-export or reattach a clip when needed.
Are my videos and drafts available on another device?
Browser-local videos and drafts do not sync automatically, while successfully server-saved posts can be restored after sign-in.
Imported videos and local-only drafts are stored in the browser. They do not automatically become a synchronized cloud library. When you save a post to the publishing backend, the video and post data needed for that job can be stored remotely. Signing into the same account on another device can restore server-saved queue entries without downloading their videos back into the local library.
A local import, a local draft and a server-saved post are different stages. Confirm that a post was saved successfully before switching devices. Clearing browser data or signing out can remove local-only work. Keep your source videos outside the browser, and read any sign-out or deletion warning before continuing.
How does bulk scheduling work?
Bulk scheduling assigns selected finished videos to reviewed destinations and a sequence of future times.
- Import the finished videos and select the clips for this batch.
- Choose the first post time, an interval and the destination platforms. The current interval control supports presets and custom spacing in minutes, hours or days, using whole-minute intervals from 1 minute to 30 days.
- Review the browser timezone and every generated date in the batch preview. An interval measures elapsed time; a daylight-saving change can change the displayed local clock time.
- If you enable Skip overnight hours, a generated time between midnight and 6 AM moves to 6 AM. Later posts continue from that adjusted time.
- Choose the caption mode or apply a shared caption and hashtags. Review each result before scheduling.
- Save the batch, read the actual save outcome and inspect the calendar. TikTok connecting, scheduling and publishing remain Coming soon; keep it outside the active queue.
The interval control describes when you want to post. It does not remove account limits, resolve every existing calendar conflict or establish an ideal posting frequency. A one-minute option is not a recommendation to publish every minute.
Does Smart fill watch my video or write a unique AI caption?
Smart fill suggests copy from filenames or titles and rules; it does not watch the video.
The current Smart fill helper uses the filename or title and a small set of matching rules to suggest a hook and hashtags. It does not watch the video. Treat its output as a starting point: check what the clip actually shows, remove irrelevant tags and rewrite any claim the footage does not support.
A post entry has one caption and one hashtag set shared by its selected platforms. If the same clip needs substantially different wording or a different time on another network, prepare separate entries and check their destinations carefully.
Which accounts and content can publish?
Publishing requires the intended connected YouTube channel and an upload that passes the applicable checks.
Use Accounts to verify the exact YouTube channel you want. Choose its destination explicitly for each post; create separate posts for separate channels. SocialRoster uses the networks’ authorization screens instead of asking for your social-media passwords. A completed sign-in alone does not establish that every publishing permission, account requirement or integration approval is satisfied.
For existing legacy connections only, SocialRoster’s Instagram flow supports Reels, not static images, carousels or Stories. Its Facebook publishing flow is for Page Reels, not personal profiles, photo posts, link-preview posts or text-only posts. Use MP4, MOV or M4V with a readable duration of 4–60 seconds. When the video dimensions are available, the app checks for vertical 9:16 framing and at least 540×960 resolution. These are product-specific checks, not a complete statement of every format Facebook supports.
How do I know a post actually went out?
Confirm the final publishing result and inspect the destination video to establish that a post actually went out.
Draft means the content is still being prepared. Scheduled means it is queued for a time. Publishing means at least one destination has not reached a final result. Posted is the completed result across the selected destinations. Partial means some destinations completed and at least one failed. Failed needs investigation before another attempt.
For YouTube, choose Public, Unlisted or Private per post. New posts default to Public; unchanged legacy posts retain their previous channel default. There is no per-post audience selector, and uploads currently send a not-made-for-kids declaration. Do not use this path for made-for-kids content; use YouTube Studio to set the correct audience. A completed upload or Posted status does not prove public visibility. For a launch or other time-sensitive post, check the destination account as well as the calendar. Do not duplicate a publishing or partially published post just because it is taking longer than expected. Open the original entry, read the error and use the troubleshooting guide.
Questions
- Does a scheduled YouTube upload automatically become public?
- The upload uses your chosen visibility. New posts default to Public, with a Public / Unlisted / Private choice per post. Unchanged legacy posts retain their previous channel default. There is no per-post audience selector and uploads currently declare not made for kids. Check visibility and public-release scheduling in YouTube Studio; use Studio instead for made-for-kids content.
- Is there a permanently free scheduling plan?
- The website offers a 3-day trial for eligible new subscribers, followed by the selected monthly paid plan. Website checkout requires a card, and the plan renews automatically unless canceled. If you subscribed through Google Play, use the offer and cancellation controls shown there.
- Does Unlimited mean unlimited video storage?
- No. Unlimited removes SocialRoster’s monthly scheduling cap. The local Content Library still holds up to 50 videos, and provider limits still apply.
- Can I schedule after closing my browser?
- A post successfully saved to the publishing backend is handled by the server-side queue. A local-only draft is not a server-saved job. Confirm the save result and required account approvals before closing the browser.
- Does deleting a scheduled post remove a published social post?
- Deleting a synced queue entry does not delete content already published on a social network. Use that network’s controls for published content.
- What does the Google preferred-source badge do?
- It opens Google’s source selector so you can choose a personal preference if SocialRoster is available there. Availability has not been confirmed; SocialRoster may not appear in the selector yet. Google describes preferred sources as a personalized Top Stories preference and a possible preferred badge in AI Mode and AI Overviews for people who selected that source, subject to feature eligibility. It is not a Google endorsement or a guaranteed ranking boost. Clicking the footer link does not select a source or change your account automatically.
