A LITTLE MORE KNOW-HOW.
TikTok scheduling preparation: availability and checks
TikTok connecting, scheduling and publishing in SocialRoster are Coming soon. Prepare files and captions, and check current support before choosing a publishing workflow.
Current product: YouTube-only. New plans support 2 or 6 YouTube channels at $19.99 or $29.99 per month. Older provider and pricing references below are retained for legacy customers, not new connection offers. Existing subscriptions and scheduled posts are preserved. Current plans and fair use.

TikTok status: Coming soon. TikTok scheduling and publishing are coming soon. Your existing posts, drafts and connection are kept. The TikTok guidance in this guide is general preparation advice, not an available SocialRoster publishing flow. For YouTube, check account permissions and publishing status before scheduling.
A TikTok scheduler is useful for one reason: it lets you decide the order and spacing of posts while you still have attention left for the files. It fails for boring reasons — a 16:9 export in a vertical queue, two clips with the same caption, a start time that lands overnight, or a connection that quietly expired. Treat scheduling as a production-line step, not a growth hack.
What belongs in the queue before you touch timing
Import only finished exports. Vertical 9:16, H.264 in an MP4 container, audio normalised across the batch, captions burned in if you rely on them. Play each file once at normal speed. Use that review to catch incorrect cuts, unreadable text and audio problems before choosing a publishing workflow.
- Reject letterboxed 16:9 inside a vertical frame — it reads as repurposed and wastes most of the screen.
- Keep text and faces off the extreme edges; TikTok overlays cover them during playback.
- Name files by topic, not version soup. storm-hail-core.mp4 beats final_v3_REAL.mp4 when you scan forty rows.
- Confirm the AI-generated content flag belongs on the post before it is created, not after.
Spacing that survives a real day
Pick the start time first, then the interval. A clean hour (09:00, not 09:07) keeps the calendar readable. For example, two-hour gaps produce a denser plan than twenty-four-hour gaps. These are planning examples, not claims about reach or an optimal posting frequency. Enable overnight skip if your tool offers it — otherwise a batch that starts at 18:00 will cheerfully fill 02:00 and 04:00.
- Count the posts and the days they should cover. Forty posts over five waking days is about eight a day.
- Set the first slot a few hours ahead so you can still pull something before it goes out.
- Read the preview list of times before confirming. Mental arithmetic usually misses the overnight skip.
- Open the calendar view after the batch lands. Compare the actual saved entries with the times and destinations you approved.
Connection reality, not wishful publishing
Holding a queue is not the same as publishing to TikTok. Automatic delivery needs a connected TikTok account through an approved developer application with the right scopes. SocialRoster currently has no TikTok publishing connection or manual-reminder workflow. Keep TikTok plans in a separate document or supported tool. Say that out loud when you promise a cadence to a client or teammate.
SocialRoster lets you upload videos, plan captions, and schedule posts across Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook from one calendar. TikTok scheduling is Coming soon: connecting and publishing to TikTok are not available yet, so treat the TikTok steps on this page as preparation for when the connection opens.
Captions that do not clone themselves
Batch writing produces identical openings unless you force variety. Write in passes: one factual line per clip, then rewrite openings, then hashtags. Read the whole caption column as a list before the batch goes live. Sameness that is invisible one row at a time is obvious in a column.
- Avoid relative time words — "today" and "this weekend" age badly in a queue that spans days.
- Keep hashtags few and specific. Check each tag against the actual subject instead of reusing a block without review.
- Check spelling once; editing after publish is possible in some places and not others.
Failure modes worth naming
- Duplicate imports: the same export under two filenames becomes two posts. Scan the library before scheduling.
- Timezone drift: you scheduled on a laptop set to another zone, or travelled after queuing. Times are absolute moments; the clock face changes when the zone does.
- Token expiry: the connection worked last week and fails this morning. Reconnect before rebuilding the batch.
- Wrong aspect ratio rejected at publish time: caught too late. Re-export and replace the library file before the slot.
- Disclosure missing: the AI flag was added after creation. Set it when the post is created.
A short session that finishes
Gather finished files, name them, import once, write captions in passes, set start and interval, confirm on the calendar, then stop. If a clip needs a re-edit, drop it from this batch. Swapping files mid-session is how duplicates and wrong-order queues happen. SocialRoster is built for that gather-plan-schedule loop across the networks you already use (TikTok scheduling is Coming soon) — keep the session one-directional and the queue stays trustworthy.
Questions
- Does a TikTok scheduler publish without me present?
- Not currently in SocialRoster. TikTok connecting, scheduling and publishing are Coming soon. For TikTok now, use a native or other supported tool and verify that tool’s account and publishing requirements.
- How far ahead should I schedule TikTok videos?
- Far enough that a bad day does not empty the calendar, close enough that captions stay true. A few days to about two weeks is a workable range for most short-form batches.
- What interval should I use between TikTok posts?
- Choose spacing that leaves time to review the content and matches the amount you can maintain. Two, six or twenty-four hours are examples for planning, not proven optimal intervals or reach recommendations. TikTok publishing in SocialRoster remains Coming soon.
